Director of Polygraph Services
During the Vietnam era Michael Park graduated from the Non-Commissioned Officer Candidate School and served in the U. S. Army in Europe as a combat arms tank platoon staff sergeant. He later received his Special Agent badge and credentials after graduating from the military intelligence, Counterintelligence Officer, Agent, Technician School while assigned to a special reserve detachment. Although a native Texan, after leaving the Army, Mr. Park was recruited by the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. where he served in the Special Operations Division, (SWAT) Tactical Branch. His outstanding achievements in a special felony fugitive investigations squad led to his recruitment by the U. S. Marshals Service in 1974.
In 2002 Michael D. Park retired as a career professional from the U. S. Marshals as an Inspector with the Department of Justice, Federal Witness Protection Program. Prior to this, he also spent many years in field operations and as a fugitive investigations supervisor in northern Texas and as a staff instructor for the U.S. Marshals Special Operations Group (SOG). After graduating from an American Polygraph Association (APA) approved school for forensic science (Polygraph) Michael obtained additional training and continuing education in clinical polygraph testing for known offenders. Because of his special knowledge in certain programs and active top secret clearance, he is still called on from time to time to administer security scope polygraph examinations for the government.
Mr. Park is the founder and director of polygraph services for Michael D. Park & Associates / Dallas Polygraph Services. This firm is recognized as one of the premier professional polygraph services in the southwest serving several major police departments, city governments, attorneys, businesses and private clients. Michael has personally administered over 1500 polygraph examinations both as a private examiner and for covert government programs. These polygraph tests covered such issues as criminal investigations, threat assessment, witness protection, internal affairs, statement verification, applicant screening and national security. Due to his professionalism in the polygraph field Mr. Park has been qualified as an expert witness in State Courts.
Mr. Park is a member of several professional law enforcement and polygraph associations to include the Texas Association of Polygraph Examiners and an associate member of the APA (American Polygraph Association). He is an active alumnus of the Special Operations Group Association and on a federal level he is a member of the Federal Criminal Investigators Association and the Retired U. S. Marshals Association. Michael is a strong advocate for high standards for professionalism and integrity within the polygraph community.
